TINO

Transformative and Inclusive Internship Opportunity (TINO)

This project is tackling Liberia’s 35% young adult unemployment rate by addressing the issue of job experience for work readiness and professional employment. With a particular emphasis on Liberian women who suffer from social- and gender-related constraints that inhibit their access to jobs and long-term professional opportunities, TINO offers internships with Liberian businesses and non-governmental organizations and provides young adults with necessary work readiness and life skills training that helps them thrive and reach their full potential.

Among other areas, TINO provides young adults with life skills training that includes: good communication, building relationships, working in teams and meeting deadlines, networking, attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and professional methods of working/job ethics. Employers access TINO’s pool of motivated young individuals who bring fresh thinking and innovation to the job. TINO is funded by Oxfam Liberia.
