Who we are

Founded in 2011, Youth Movement for Collective Action is a registered non-governmental, non-political and non-for-profit organization, which strongly believed that a good education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and can create a better future for children and their families. That is why we promote girl’s education by facilitating sponsorships for students who otherwise would not have a chance to attend. UMOVEMENT programs complement the effort of the Ministry of Education and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – 3: Good health and well-being for people, 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all and 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls with equal access to education, health care, decent work, and representation in political and economic decision-making processes which fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large.

The organization’s Programs are: Education, Health, Child Protection, Play-Based Learning and Livelihoods. Direct management of Youth Movement for Collective Action programs are being implemented by key personnel who has being trained in quality program control and project management by International Non-Governmental Organizations over the years and have proven of been successful in working with children and youth across Liberia. Currently, Youth Movement for Collective Action is implementing five key projects (Give To Learn, Liberia Education Advancement Program, Prevention and Management of Emerging Form of Violence, Collaborative Problem Solving: Education Sector and Gender Equitable Education Program) in eight (8) counties (Montserrado, Margibi, Bong, Bomi, Nimba, Grand Bassa, RiverCess and Sinoe) in Liberia.
